1994! is a 2 piece punk band from Lancaster PA that fucking rules, enough said. Go pay what you wish for this album on their bandcamp.
Turbowolf: Let’s Die
Listen past the first 60 seconds and then you will understand what Turbowolf is about. They’ll remind you of a highly evolved Black Sabbath. The video for this song is super rad too.

That Fucking Tank will remind you of some of the other guitar/drum duos that whip out slightly unstructured masterpieces like El Ten Eleven, Hella, Death From Above 1979. Their new album TFT is totally worth every the euro/dead prez.

Coheed and Cambria are back with another chapter in their epic tale. The album continues the mix of metal riffs and cosmic landscapes we’ve come to love from these guys but this track has a certain twang that fits them but you wouldn’t usually expect.
Deftones: Tempest
Here’s one for all you Deftones fans off their new album Koi No Yokan. this track ‘Tempest‘ takes lyrical cues from doomsday theory which Chino has said almost became the focus of this whole album.
Machinedrum: Whatnot
This is some organic deep-bass techno from Berlin/NYC producer MachineDrum. This track comes from the 4th compilation by Lazer Sword that lands Nov 27.
A Lot Like Birds: THINK DIRTY OUT LOUD
A Lot Like Birds is a ‘post-hardcore’ band from California with some gnarly kick. You get a sense of a little Fall of Troy mixed with some Number 12 Looks Like You with a even further style change with clean vocals by Kurt Travis from the band Dance Gavin Dance. Get ready for the Equal Visions record coming 2013.
Immortal: Sons of Northern Darkness
10 years ago right before Sons Of Northern Darkness was released Iscariah left Immortal leaving all of us to believe it was the end. After wondering in a black metal desert for 5 years, they reformed in 2007. If you don’t know who Immortal is they are these guys and also these guys.
Believer/Law: The Task at Hand
If you are a punk rocker from the future you probably hear this type of stuff all the time but this new track by NY based Believer/Law has a new creud awesomeness too it. The cassette featuring this track and more is due out in January.
Pat Jordache: steps (DAMAGED GOODS)
This song kinda sounds like what Soul Train would sound like if it was produced by PBS in the 1980s… and you were on acid watching it. The tones are awesome especially that shrill shaky keyboard that winds and twist throughout the whole song and you gotta love the saxophone solo. Check out this rad fan video someone made for the song.
White Denim: I Start to Run
This is a little bit of a throw back but if you’ve glossed over White Denim in the past you should take another look. This track is off their album Fits that came out in 2009 and its just one of the five album they have out now. If you’re working on something try hitting play on their whole discography and letting it go, you wont get board.
Reignwolf: Electric Love
Reignwolf aka Jordan Cook is rock n roll. There isn’t really any other good words to describe the awesomeness he holds. This track is from a live session in which he plays all the instruments and sings (including the kick drum and full kit sounds at the end) worth the watch.
White Lung: Two of You
After releasing one of this years best punk albums Sorry, White Lung is back with more riot-infused girl punk rock on their new 7″. Also on the record is a track called Hunting Holiday which is just as good. The whole 7″ is available as a full stream on their bandcamp, check it out.
Roomrunner: Spinning
Roomrunner is the phoenix that rose from the ashes of Baltimore hardcore band Double Dagger. This track, Spinning, is off side A of their self titled cassette.
Savages: Husbands
Savages is a chaotic 4 piece from London that had their debut album hit earlier this year. This song brings hysteria with ups, downs, industrial guitars and chants all on a spinal cord of driving bass. Good stuff.
Local Natives: Breakers
Local Natives is back with a new single off their second album Hummingbird due out the end of January. This track shows they still have their gigantic warm sound still intact and that Hummingbird aint ganna be no sophomore slump.
Squarehead: More Quickly
This track is off an Irish indie split from So Cow and Squarehead. Be sure to check out Squarehead at the CMJ festival in NYC and grab the split starting Nov. 13.

One of our long time favorite bands is back and kicking it like the old days. Catatonic is a powerful new single from …And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead and lives up to their driving rock style. The new album Lost Songs is out Oct. 23.
Robbie Basho: Blue Crystal Fire
This is the original tracking of Blue Crystal Fire by Robbie Basho off his 1978 album Visions of The Country. Recently, How To Dress Well came out with a cover of this song but there is just something about Robbie’s signature vibrato that chills you to the bones. When Holy MTN played the BL∆CK ROOM last month they did an amazing uptempo version, watch here.
Black Moth Super Rainbow: Gangs in the Garden
Here is the latest cut from Black Moth Super Rainbow‘s new album Cobra Juicy due out Oct 23. If this song gives us any indication, we can expect the same psyche we’re use to from Black Moth but mixed with Daft Punkness.
Tame Impala: Elephant

Voivod: Mechanical Mind
Voivod has been rocking probably longer then you’ve been alive (1982). This track is off their album to be released 2013 called Target Earth. Their sound is like a ETID and Mastodon step child without red hair and we have no problem with that.
Ceremony: Everything Burns
Ceremony will release a limited edition 7″ split with Titus Andronicus this fall which will feature this song. If you dig this check out their full length release Zoo that came out earlier this year.
Philip Glass: Rubric (Tyondai Braxton Remix)
