If you look around bicycle culture recently you can definitely see an influx in minimalist style hitting the streets. Mostly everything you see around major cities is thin light frames and wheels with single stroke gear systems. Priti Baiks is a photo set by José Castrellón that shows the opposite direction tha bicycle culture is also going. José traveled all across Panama photographing these extremely modified and individual bikes local youths have constructed and in most cases use as their main form of transportation.
It’s truly inspiring to see these photos not just because of how bad ass these bikes are with their gas tanks and air horns but also the composition of the photos. There is no photoshop work done on them and you can just feel the realness of the photo composition with the wide open settings, poses and color.
